Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get my blankets to you?

We are located at Enterprise Farm, just outside of Angier, NC, right off of Highway 210 between Old Stage Road and Highway 50. Call to arrange a tour of our location and drop off your blankets while you are there.

Please prepare your blankets for delivery by placing your blankets in plastic trash bags with your contact information INSIDE of the bag.  You can print out blanket tags for use using the link on our HOME page.

We also regularly meet our out-of-town customers at area horse shows and events. We are a part of the horse community and have lots of contacts.

Give us a call, I am sure we can work it out.

Why can't I just wash my horseware myself in my washing machine?

Only the larger, commercial grade washing machines are equipped to deal with the bulk and weight of horse blankets during laundering. I tried myself and learned the hard way that the hair and debris can clog filters and result in the need for repairs. The weight when wet is also usually more than home machines can handle during the spin cycle.

Will laundering damage the waterproofing on my blanket?

Laundering by AT Your Service Blanket Service will not damage the waterproof coating on your blanket. Normal wear and tear is the enemy of the waterproof coating. However, laundering using detergent cleaners can render the waterproofing useless. Depend on us to extend the life of your waterproof garments.

Why do you have to launder my blanket before making repairs?

Dirt and debris damage the expensive commercial sewing machines required to perform blanket repairs. Also, to repair a blanket, you have to pretty much cover yourself with it to get it properly aligned in the sewing machine. Do you want all of YOUR clothes to smell like a horse? (OK, maybe you do, but the folks at work make a face if mine do!)

How long will it take before my blanket is returned?

During the "off season", most laundering and repair services can be performed in about a week or two. Repairs can take longer if the repair will require ordering unusual fabrics or colors. At the end of the winter season when everyone wants their blanket laundered for summer storage, laundering and repair can take up to 4 weeks. Services are first come, first served.
